Drip Edge & Gutter Apron Installation

Why You Need This Service

Water wicking behind your gutters and rotting the fascia? That usually means there's no drip edge or gutter apron directing water into the gutter. We retrofit it in without tearing off your roof.

  • Directs water off the roof and into the gutter (not behind it)
  • Protects fascia from rot and premature failure
  • Blocks small pest entry points under the first shingle
  • Retrofit installation — no roof tear-off required
  • Matching color available

Frequently Asked Questions

Why didn't my original roof have drip edge?

Drip edge wasn't required by older building codes, so plenty of homes — especially pre-2000 builds — don't have it. Now it's standard. Retrofit is the most common way to add it without redoing the whole roof.

Is drip edge the same as gutter apron?

Close but not identical. Drip edge tucks under the first shingle and hangs out slightly. Gutter apron is longer and extends further into the gutter. We use whichever fits your situation better.
